Sure a good hifi is important for my enjoyment of music. Lucky I didn't get too hung up in a chase and found "good enough" without having to spend as much as I could have afforded. Not thinking I'll be doing much downsizing in the future (but who knows) and might still be looking at a few digital side upgrades and just maintaining what I have going forward.

Since 1981 when first getting into NAD 20 series electronics the only period I wasn't mostly focused on music was when I became financially able to purchase equipment in a quest for better sound was when I moved off the NAD and had to figure out my place in the bigger universe. Took me a decade and I was about ready to call the whole thing a farce before it came together again for me. That's 44 years of which 34 of them were being completely wrapped up in forgetting about the gear and just enjoying music. More than 20 years after figuring it out I'm enjoying music at home more than ever.
