Thoughts on Technics SL-1500C?

I'm looking for a turntable with at least an auto lift feature for the end of the record.

The SL-1500C appears to be a sound new option that is within my budget for this system, so I thought I'd check on the Asylum to see if anyone has owned or auditioned one.

Alternative suggestions are naturally always welcome by those who've owned something they'd recommend, but I've done a lot of searches and this one comes up on top, on paper at least, even though many don't like the cheap feeling arm lift lever. Auto lift is essential in this system because of a physical disability.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I'm not really looking at vintage tables. I had an SL-1301 I bought from Volunteer (Wendell), RIP, years ago and a Philips 877 I got from a guy on Craig's List even more years ago. Both served me well but are no longer fully working or reasonable to repair.
