When I first got interested in jazz, I heard Kenny Burrell and just had to buy some. I purchased "Midnight Blue" at Oak Park Records in the 70's. It is a Blue Note recording. I played it maybe 5-10 times and forgot about it.
As I have recently returned to audio fun, I decided to track this gem: Needle drop was silent with decent volume. The recording has NO background noise and sounds better than anything I have played in my modest system! Top rate! The separation of instruments is stunning - even wife agrees!
Now, I want more of this! What album sounds superior in your collection?
