I just acquired, cleaned, and played my first East German Eterna LP. Virtually dead-quiet. Thicker than Western LPs of the same era. Recorded in 1975, it may be the best Carmina Burana I've heard, perhaps even better than the '68 recording on DG under the supervision of Orff himself.
