Dear inmates-
I have come to the realization my most beloved Wright sound AG phono is likely out of commission for a long time if not for good-a dead power transformer that was made custom by a company no longer in service, making the alternative to find another unit, which begs the question- if I spend $1000- $1400, to 'replace/repair'- would I be better off getting a new phono preamp instead?
And if so which one?
I've been checking out the Darlignton, the Hagerman and the Tavish, maybe Ear or Pass Ono?
Your input and recommendations are welcome as I chart next steps
