RE: Help? I need contact info for Chris Brady of Teres Audio

A couple of things to consider. The sensor is a photo diode mounted an an 1/4" diameter tube connected to the cable back to the controller. The distance between this sensor and the strobe disk under the platter is pretty critical. If the sensor cable is pulled, it can dislodge the sensor so that it no longer reads effectively. You should check this, it could be as simple as repositioning this sensor. BTW, I also have a Teres 340, though I have upgraded to a VERUS rim drive motor system (a huge upgrade) which does not use the sensor. Over the years, I have had a lot of issues with the original motor system, and on the Teres DIY kit version that I started with, I finally ended up using a Maxon motor drive/controller that did not rely on speed feedback. I would second looking at the SOTA motor/controller option if you cannot fix the issue.
