I strip the wire a .25" more than the depth of the socket, flux the wire, tin the wire, remove the set screw for venting, then insert wire, then finally insert lengths of solder down the sides of the wire, into the socket, the wire being smaller diameter than the socket, a couple of pieces, then heat up the socket until solder flows...
doo dah.....
