I am producing 7.83 Hz pure Schumann waves in the room on my iPad. The isochronic tones are pulses of some higher frequency than 7.83 Hz obviously. It's the acoustic energy of the 7.83 Hz pulses that synchronize the brain's neurons and synchronizes the right and left hemispheres too. It's analogous to electromagnetic 7.83 Hz waves that also synchronize the brain's neurons. The binaural beat type of Schumann frequency is intended for headphones, difference in frequencies is converted to 7.83 Hz by the brain, whereas isochronic tones are used for speakers or headphones.
