Voltage divider question

I have an NAD amp with a working power supply. I would like to use it for a Pass F5 first watt DIY project. But it's voltage is 80vDC and I need to drop it to 24vDC.

Would it be advisable to use it by adding voltage dropping resistors. Would you put the resistors before the bridge rectifier or after the filter caps?
