Am finding out how different the variables are in any situation. Not just the process itself but being wary of the PCB trace durability and whether lead or lead-free solder was used originally.
Really appreciating the Hakko 936 I bought years ago and using now more than ever. Need to replace some of my small working tools with better quality. It makes a big difference as you say.
Off topic but my adult kids who are both home owners aren't shy at spending more on things like power tools. I'm jealous. So I spent extra on a circular saw and belt sander this summer and realize it not only makes things easier, but safer too.
