The contact strength generally improves performance if it is made stronger. As you move up from builders'-grade to spec-grade to hospital-grade to the dedicated audiophile outlets such as Furutech and Oyaide, the contact strength increases and the chance of acoustic vibration modulating the contact resistance diminishes.
However, at the audiophile end of the range, there are different contact plating recipes used. Some of these appear to make RF noise problems worse, especially in the context of a refined system.
There has been a lot of debate over the palladium plating used on the Oyaide Ultimo SWO-XXX and R1, compared to gold plating on the GX+. The sonic descriptions match my experience with the SWO-XXX and other RF noise reduction experiments. I suspect the palladium plating causes RF intermodulation with certain plug metal types.
Keep in mind that these outlets are far better than what came with your house. The sonic differences due to plating recipes loom large because the outlet designers have basically solved the other problems with standard fixtures.
If you are plagued with RF noise, then the Oyaide Ultimo SWO-GX+ is a safe way to experience the improvement of enhanced contact strength.
