SMD soldering

That method does the job quickly for high-volume work. I prefer to tin each pad individually before mounting the chip, and then press down each IC pin with a needle iron. This approach requires a sharp needle iron, thin gauge solder, and a good tractor arm lamp with an integrated magnifying glass.
