Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

Hello folks, its been a while since I was last a patient here. Doc says I need to visit.
Anways, I was pondering my living enviroment, looking at sources of noise and apart from PC fans, and the fridge. Two other domestic apliances really annoy and are intrusive. Our washing machine and tumble dryer. Both sit on a concrete floor and up against a brick wall. The washing machine sits into the worktop and cupboards one side of which is a cavity. The tumble drier is not surrounded the same, it just takes up its space on the floor. Either machine can be on for several hours, especialy as we have 3 kids one whose 2 and clothes are for ever washed. I have yet to build an outhouse for them, great idea to chuck em in the garden, eh?
So how would you silence these noisy appliances.
Forgive my spelling.
