Tube amps will have a larger power transformer and smaller (in most cases) output transformers, one for each channel. OTL tube amps do not have output transformers, but will have lots of output tubes!
Some tube amps will have DC power supply filter chokes. These objects will usually be located near the power transformers. They look like transformers.
The Hammond chokes being discussed in this forum were designed for use as series filter chokes in the DC power supplies. It just turned out that they are suitable for use as parallel filters for the AC power.
