It is fine to put in 4.0 uf infinicap coupling caps in the LS7.
Mount them from the underside of the board. Make sure you also install .01 bypasses( mount bypasses on top side of board). I installed TRT Stealth 4.0 uf coupling caps in my LS7 a couple years ago and it was an incredible improvement. The 4.0 's will probably sound the best per Peter Moncrief of TRT. TRT also makes the infinicaps. 2.0 uf's will also work just fine. If $ is no object go with the 4.0's. Also change out the power supply caps to low esr panasonics ( EET-ED2W101BA AND EET-ED2W471EA. Bypass both electrolytics with telfon caps for best results. Also bypass the power regulator with a .01 teflon cap. install an IEC power plug connector and go with NOS 1960 or early 70's siemens 7308's for the tubes.
