RE: UPC200 mod - question for Duster

Image: PS Audio UPC-200 power line conditioner. Modified with a Furutech INLET(G) gold IEC inlet and upgraded AC outlets: Wattgate 381 Ag silver Audio Grade AC outlet for the analog zone, and Wattgate 381 gold Audio Grade AC outlet for the digital zone.

Based on a previous laborous snipping-out of another components IEC inlet chassis opening, I went for an "easy install" option and selected the entry level Furutech INLET(G) rather than a Furutech FI-10(G) IEC inlet, since the Furutech INLET(G) has pretty much, if not the same cutout size as a typical Schurter IEC inlet which is what I think PS Audio use for the UPC-200. The only change I made to the installation was that I mounted the Furutech INLET(G) placed from the outside of the chassis rather than placed from the inside of the chassis (the inlet flange is placed outside of the chassis), and soldered the wiring rather than use the wires stock quick-disconnects.

Here's a link to my Inmate Systems page; notice that I also upgraded the UPC-200's stock Power Ports with Wattgate AC outlets; an upgrade that provided a very profound betterment over the PS Audio nickel plated Power Ports. Many folks (including myself) find the Power Port AC outlet to sound sub-par as compared to other options -- even lesser cost AC outlets than the Power Port, such as Hubbell's unplated HBL8300H sound better than PS Audio's nickel plated Hubbell, IMHO:
