screws or screwed

Read up on Al Sekela's points about connecting the outlet to only a single grounding source. If you have BX in the wall, then the outlet is grounded (I think) by attachment of the lobes from the backstrap to the metal wall box. If that's the case, then only have one single metal (not ferrous!) screw making that connection, and sub out the rest of the screws with nylon ones. That is the same issue if you have a metallic wallplate, I believe. But do review Al's posts here regarding that issue.

That's the one way I know that the screws can and probably do affect your sonics.

I've tested this tweak of Al's repeatedly and found him to be on target. I use that setup with my wall outlet Oyaide SWO-XXX.
