Not much info out there on the R1 but what I did find certainly looks like it will be a stepup from the SWO series.The metal has been changed to Beryllium copper instead of the Phospher bronze and the coating is Palladium over gold from what I gather.
Even still, I would recommend one install the WPC-XXX before dropping coin on a new outlet. Just might be cheaper too :-)
