Well im a college student and money is tight, I dont really have the cash for a new dac right now. I already have the cd67 so it would only cost me $30 or so for the usb->i2s converter. Also the cd67 is extensively modded and I really like the way it sounds. I would be using it strictly as a dac so I wouldt have to worry about switching between the transort and usb input, I was planning on disconnecting the transport and display if this is possible. What im most usure of is if the cd67 NPC sm5872 dac will actually work with an I2s input from the usb converter, will I still have to press play to get any sound, will I get error codes since the transport isnt connected??
