Well, that's a matter of perspective: The Halcyonics is definitely a more effective isolator of floorborne vibrations, however, against airborne, the neuance is more effective, acting to dissipate these, and is more effectively coupled, avoiding reflections of the vibrations in a piece of gear at the coupling points to the shelf back into the gear, where a heavy granite, or other high-mass material, will not be as readily excited, and thus, not dissipate as much energy.
