Personally, I like Nichicon Muse caps a lot. I'd give it a try first. Putting a film cap of almost any type that's 10µf may not fit. I have seen cases where people have tried to fit a poly cap in the place of an electrolytic, but left hugely long leads on the cap, and with the cap floating well above the chassis. In those cases, they may very well pick up more noise than they prevent compared to a good electrolytic.If you want to bypass the muse (which I do often), put your favorite non-expensive 0.1µf poly cap across it, preferably under the board. It's easy to do if done at the same time as installing the poly cap, you have the leads to work with. It's not necessary to try to wrap the leads of the two caps around each other, a decent solder bridge is enough.
