I've been using this for a year or so and it is great as a sub equalizer. The most accurate way to go about measuring and equalizing your bass response is to buy the Behringer measurement mic as well and download a tone generator to your pc. Then you can compare your in-room bass response directly with the signal coming from your pc and fix any problems. You should be able to get the DEQ2496 and measurement mic for about $350.
