chord is ok ....but not great !I rewired a pair with pure silver [1mm dia solid core in over sized ptfe sleeve]. You will need about 10m of silver as there are lots of wires to replace!
Stunning sound near holographic imaging and deep bass ..not the one note bass with the cheep equipment wire fitted.
the cross over may need some work depending on there age ...the units I rewired were ok.
the cabinate really needs to be treated to as the cheap chip board is starting to fall apart. Get some pva glue and water it down, then paint all the interior surfaces. the glue should be absorbed and seal the cabinate and hold the chip board together as well.
I did consider bypassing the tone controls but in the end just re wired.
