Its amazing how much more clarity, detail, and gain you can get by folding the upper section of your ears a little forward. Proably part of it is from your hands creating a cup, but nevertheless, its real. Try touching your fingertips behind your ears.To me, the increase in resolution from this free "tweak" is greater than any electronic tweak..
Holding your arms up does get punishing after a while though..and you look really stupid doing this in public..
Years ago, in the 80s, Stereophile (Dick Olsher I think) reviewed some gizmo that attached to your ears..
