- MDF for the box.
-Birch butcher block for the legs (I actually cut up an Ikea butcher block table to make the legs).
- Butcher block "plinth" floating on the sand.
- Weather stripping around the "plinth" to seal the sand but still allow some play when needed.
- 50 lbs of clean playsand from Toys R Us in each shelf.
- spikes on the bottom of each legSee the picture for the finished set of shelves.
