Any experience with Solen 51/1500s in HV powersupplies? I've Searched...

...but nothing was relevant. I hope to replace the 1000VDC stack of 'lytics in the 2nd pole of an ASL 1006, the 845 SET. The schematic indicates this 2nd pole has 953VDC on it (with unstated--maybe 117VAC?) in. If that's true, that 953 turns into about 1000 in my house. I've used 440VAC-rated ASC MR caps in an ASL 805's powersupply that has about 900VDC on it, but I think this time I'll be conservative.

According to the schematic, ASL uses 2 220/500V. 'lytics in series, but the last 2 pairs of ASL amps I've had my soldering iron in had 270/500s. I'm thinking I'll again follow Jeff Glowacki's filosofy of placing the majority of the total capacitance in the 1st pole and the minority in the 2nd. I'd use a pair of maybe-390/500 Panasonic TS-UPs in the first pole and just the one 51/1500 Solen in the 2nd for a total of 245µF (compared with the original 270µF).

For a bypass, how 'bout a 0.47/1500V Auricap? After shorting 2 1200V.-rated Mun. Sup. S/Os in my 805s, I won't use them at more than about 75% of rated Voltage.

I wish I could use here what I used in my Hurricanes*--but one pays a price for 1000V. rails.
.

* The 'Cane has 2 pairs of 270/500s stacked in 2 poles. I replaced all those with a 390/500 TS-UP plus an ASC 100/370VAC paralleled in the 1st pole plus a Solen 100/630 and another ASC 100/370VAC in the 2nd, the latter bypassed with a 0.47/1200 Mundorf Sup. S/O. Sure sounds good.
