Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
I'am having problems with this speaker system . First I found out that the things were wired wrong /tweeter and woofer out of phase . This was corrected and the speakers sound a lot better, especially imaging . Now I notice that the the speakers are probably not functioning as true acoustic suspension speakers they are claimed to be . The cabinets are nice and airtight but the surrounds that attach to the woofer frames are not . I notice several creases on both woofers . They fail the woofer recoil test badly ; no springiness or resistance at all . Question ? What's a good glue that I can apply to the creasings on the woofers to stop the air leakage around the surround edges . This is probably why the speakers lack bass depth . Thanks !
