Here is a link to some of my reactions to the sound of different resistors. The Riken Ohm resistors that I listened to would be more laid back than the Shinkohs, and the Holcos would be even more relaxed. My own preference was for the Shinkohs, but that may be because of their synergy with my other components. Still, the Shinkohs had more clarity than any of the others that I listened to. The darker sounding resistors all seemed to add a bit of distortion to the sound.
