Thanks lenw. I have finalized my amp to the PAss Labs x600.5. I thought about the Classe monoblocks but I am afraid the sound will be too polite when combined with the Classe pre. As you pointed out, I want to give my 802d as much power as I can and the x600.5 should do it! By the way, I upgraded from the 804s.And YES the Cary 306 is a great player! I upgraded from the 303/300. The 306 has such a much fuller, lifelike sound to me. Cant go wrong with Cary cdps....
