I and my wife totally agree with you. I was able to get it locally at a price I cann't resist. I might make a lighter weight sandbox since I will be placing the table on the second floor and worried the total weight (1300 LBS including the weight of the table) may seriously damage the floor. But I just have to try and experience the sonic results.I will try to place some steel angles under its feet to distribute the weight evenly over wider area of the floor. Lighter weight should increase it's natural frequency which is about 1.0 to 1.7 hz at 1000 LB load. Also, it may compromise the efficiency of isolation.
