If things sound good where they are, you might just leave well enough alone. But if you're a neurotic audiophile, well that's another story. Assuming your are, I would try placing the speakers on either side of the fireplace. This way the speakers will be equal distant from the side walls. This I think will help with imaging, being that both speakers are now loading the room evenly. Problem is, your t.v. now sits in front of the fireplace. I've faced this dilemma before, and the fireplace lost.Good luck.
