Having recently purchased a Forte Model 2 preamp, I am thinking about updateing the socketed LT 1028 op amps used in the line section, as this is an older design. What drop-in replacements would be best to try? The AD 744 has been recommended, and I have also thought about the AD 797, AD 812, and other LT designs. Suggestions would be most appreciated.
