Re: Simple Speaker component phase test with basic tools, additions

While I'm at it I should mention that in a couple of clubs I have helped put Dance systems in (I don't use the standard "make it flat"scheme), I actually send a live feed to the DJ system so I can Fill in the rest of the club. For many dance bands I have found this helps deal with room acoustics and surrounds the audience by filling the entire room rather than focusing on a traditional single point. The result is usually a packed dance floor by the first half of the first song while the band is playing.
The other guys set up single point systems and the result seems to be an empty or weak dance floor while the audience "Waits" for the band to finish so they can start dancing again. Since I am in Dance clubs a lot more than traditional venues the phase issues are serious as you do not know what is going on with the club's DJ system. It's a real pain to use ear training to get both systems in phase. I need a way to work around that as well in a simple fast method. Most of the time the bands are flown in from other countries so I don't even get a sound check so I have to have all the bugs worked out by myself in many horrible rooms. Thanks for any assistance.
