It may be worth a shot BUT the results I obtained with the passive 10" sub, no crossover in the circuit, was subtle but noticably discernable.I played around with different resistor values but got the best results with a 10ohm/10w resistor. I also think one could obtain quite good results if one were to use an anti-speaker in each corner or placed in the high pressure nodes of the room and then individually tuned for each position......hhhhmmmm.
