Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
I just bought my first house, and I had to make many space compromises that amount to not having a listening room. I plan to listen via headphones until I can afford a listening room (with a house attached). I would also like to have access to my garage, but right now it's crowded with stuff that wouldn't fit in the house, including the following:two large bass traps (Risch recipe)
two tall and wide acoustic panels (Risch recipe)
one short and narrow acoustic panel (Risch, again)If you're willing to pick them up at my house in Laramie, Wyoming, you may have them for free. They work great, and I will miss them. The traps look fine, though there are two vertical stitching lines on the back where the burlap is attached (they don't show if you orient them so that the plastic-backed half of the cylinder is up against the corner). The acoustic panels look awesome! I dyed the facing burlap in a nice burnt organge, and I found a burlap ribbon that fit the outside edges perfectly, so they look great.
I can e-mail photos if any of you are interested. Just e-mail me.
I have to go cry now....
May the bridges we burn light our way....
