careful here. What I have noticed among caps of the same type, tolerance, temp coeff, working voltage, manufacturer etc. is that higher capacitance in the same package also tends to bring the downside of higher ESR. I noticed this by looking at the manufacturer data sheets. In a bypassing application this can be bad depending on what is being bypassed. As you pointed out, if it sounds better then it is better but I prefer to verify with a scope and my ears.
