I was thinking about making a sandbox for my Rega P3 after trying some soft footers that I didn't like. I made a symposium clone and I like it very well so I never went on to making the sandbox. The clone has a top plate of 1/8 aluminum, 7 layer ply, 1 inch of foam, 5 layer ply, and bottom plate of the same aluminum with archery points facing down.
