Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
I recently obtained a set of largish monitors, and need to put them on stands. Putting them temporarily on cinder blocks got the tweeter to ear level, so I need some stands of about the same height, which is between 15" and 16".
These speakers have a larger footprint than I'm used to, as well: 13 1/2" x 12 1/4".
Any ideas on a DIY set of relatively inexpensive stands which would be suitable for use with these speakers? I'm looking for something which will give the tightest bass possible. Would also like to be able to add carpet spikes if I need to.
Thanks, in advance, for your help!
Cheers,
Chris
