My Experience

In '96 or so I built the Orca designed 133 MkII kit from Zalytron. They appear in the Orion Blue Book as both Focals and Orcas.
They have the Focal 7 inch dual voice coil and 1 inch Tioxid drivers. The cabinet is 1.5 inch thick MDF all around. The crossover, binding posts etc. are all the best. It is veneered in gorgeous N.A. walnut, my favorite. The finishing of the cabinets took me weeks. I'm good at woodworking/finishing, but to get them perfect was a task. Consider it carefully.
One of the bass driver coils rolls off at a different frequency than the other. They are ported.
These speakers have been blowing me away for ten years now. The low end is tight and extended, not lacking at all. The high end is less spectacular, but good overall. While surpassed now in terms of their drivers, etc., they still sound great and I will never part with them. They are no longer my main speakers.
For $500 they were a steal and I have gotten my money out of them a thousand times over!

Tom
