Marek, since you seem to know, I'm considering using a jigsaw with a fine toothed hacksaw blade for cutting, a Dremel for fine work, and a power drill with a 1.5" spade (flat blade)wood bit for some larger drilling. I've seen that the Dremel works for some things. I'm told that the hacksaw would work.I'm most concerned about using that flat bladed wood bit, though. I was thinking of drilling about 3/8" down on one side with this bit, then using the Dremel from the other side of the 1/2" thick CF blank I'm using. (The size and shape of the bores are different from each side, but they're centered the same.)
What do you think?
I'm not going to do much of any of this. Just one or two small projects: outlet cover plates. This will involve hacksawing 2 5" straight lines, drilling 4 1.5" round holes halfway through or so, and dremeling 4 double D holes through the other side. That's the total job. OK, add two more of the holes if I make a wall plate.
