I actually felt guilty.He started them on Audiogon at $2900 and I expressed an interest and started researching them. But he was having email issues and kept losing my replies, and kept lowering the price.
I finally closed the deal by the time he lowered them to $1900. I paid him $100 to more than cover the PayPal fee and $200 to schlepp them from Fresno to SF, which was also a tremendous bargain, not only in price but also because and he babied his 400 lb babies.
Apparently only a few pairs exist. Mine are unique in that they have an as yet unused sub chamber in the bottom.
