connectors for an external crossover project

Hi. I've decided to take out the crossovers from my Spendor BC-IIIs, and make them external. Besides the reduction in vibration and the internal wiring upgrading, this'll also allow me to have easy access to them in order to get them back into spec, as I have time. Did an FFT analysis on them last night, and there are anomolies between the 2 speakers.

I'll run umbilicals from the wooden, sand-filled, crossover boxes to the speakers, and use binding posts at the inputs to the crossover box.

The speakers are 4 way speakers - bass, mid, tweeter, and supertweeter. So I need 8 connectors at the back of the speaker.

Right now, the speakers have 1 original 3pin XLR jack, and 2 binding posts I put in.

I think using 8 binding posts will be a nightmare, plus result in a really ugly spaghetti of wires.

I'm guessing an 8 pin DIN plug is too small for speaker signals. How about using the 2 existing binding posts for the LF signal, and a 6 pin DIN for the mids and HFs? Or 2 4 pins XLRs? Any other thoughts?

What is the best producer and source for such plugs?

All suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance. Samir.
