Speaker wiring XO/ohm Question

Sp. A = 4ohm fullrange driver
Sp. B = 4ohm horn super tweeter
Wired in series they would be seen by the Amp as 8ohm (correct)?
Here's my question: If a capacitor is inserted between Sp. A's neg & Sp. B's pos (in series as above) would this affect Sp. A's full Freq. Range? Also, I guess this would not affect the ohm rating (correct)?
