I just haven't had good results with cryoing silver wire (.9999 and .9995 purity), and preferred the wire dead-soft annealed, without cryoing. Perhaps lower purity (.995 and .999) or wire that wasn't annealed properly might benefit, but I haven't tried those. JMHO.The most significant thing I heard was a hard "brittleness" to the sound. Yes, the wire was cooked thoroughly. :-)
