I use HRS plates on top of my speakers and DAC. For a DIY of the rubber section of the plates, go to McMasters-Carr and get some 40 durometer rubber. Cut it into the size you need. Experiment with it by placing it on top of various components. For additional effect you can add a bit of weight on top of the rubber sections. If you like what it does you can spurge for the plates for aesthetics.
