I wanted to mention that after replacing the analog output PCB, my problem with distortion is solved. Something on the original board is bad, apparently. All is as it should be. Stuck some Russian PIO, bypassed with Teflon .01 V-Caps, in the second stage and PIO V-Caps in the first stage. I'll give is some time to burn, but it feels like I lost the beatiful midrange due to the Russian caps. Too early to tell. Thanks for all the suggestions.
