In my very early days of drainage design, I learned that two 4" corrugated plastic drain tiles (CPDT) do not equal an 8" (surface area, drag, head).

My boss, who was responsible for checking my work didn't catch it. Oh well...it looked like it would work....and it did.

Luckily, we overdesigned reularly.
