I use four of them in my BAT VK-D5SE cd player. I have sets of both Sovtek and EH gold pins. Usacale Audio and others say these's no difference in the sound between the two but I beg to differ. In my player the Sovteks are brighter in the highs and tighter in the bass. The EH's are a bit rolled off in the highs and the bass is a bit fuller. The EH's sound more tubey than the Sovteks. Personally, I prefer the Sovteks as the cymbals and higher end details are more distinct. The bass is a little thinner with them but tighter with a bit more slam. Midrange with either is a toss up. No matter what Upscale and others say, there is a definite difference between them. I guess it's just what would sound best in your syetem. I've never the Reflektor version of these tubes as they're waaay out of my price range and a lot of them are fakes.
