Thx. My go-to KT88 was the Gold Lion, but I always got them from Jim McShane. Jim did a great job of culling out any inferior units and most all of those KT88's are still in service today. That said, they're all a bit long in the tooth at this point. Now the GL's are hard to find and roughly 2X the original asking price. Plus I don't know if current vendor testing methods are as thorough as Jim's. Hence it may be time to consider other options. The TAD's seem to pop up as a contender..... the JJ's in a pinch. Yes, and I've been thru a variety of Psvane's and Shuguang's and have always come back to the GL.
