RE: Amp Comparison - VTA ST-70 vs ST-120 vs M125 (pair)

I've had both the ST70 and ST120. No experience with the mono's. Both the 70 and 120 are excellent amplifiers. In most cases it would boil down the speaker you're trying to drive, room size and desired volume levels. In my case, both my speakers are tube friendly and above 95 db in efficiency. I've retained the ST70 because it has plenty of power for my needs and it can be used with a wider variety of power tubes. I sold the ST120 to a friend who uses similar speakers, but has a much larger room. FWIW, he's been more than happy with the ST120 as well.
